What You Need to Make Chocolate
To make chocolate, we need compound chocolate. Compound is used in most chocolate recipes. You can buy it from the market or online. there are following steps that we use in or you can get chocolate any where
There are three types of compounds
- White Compound it is important for the chocolate
- Milk Compound this is the main sour of the chocolate
- Dark Compound it get good colure to the chocolate
You can use any one or mix all three. Different brands are available in the market. Take whatever you like.
Each compound packet contains about 200g to 225g of chocolate. Use as much as you need. Keep the rest in an airtight container. You can store it for 7 to 8 months easily.
Other Ingredients and Tools
Here are some more things you need:
- Extra Virgin Coconut Oil – Used for smooth texture and good test
- Or Regular Butter – If making only for home or you can other people also
- Chocolate Molds – You can buy them online or from the market or you can buy any where
- Silicone Molds – Better and easier than plastic molds it is important step
- Knife and Chopping Board – To cut the compound it is the main sour of the chocolate
- Dry Hands and Dry Utensils – No water should touch the chocolate water is bad for the chocolate
Water can spoil your chocolate. So be very careful. Always keep your hands and tools completely dry. water is not good for chocolate it will heart our chocolate
How to Melt the Chocolate
There are two easy methods to melt compound chocolate.
1. Double Boiler Method (Water Method)
- Take boiling hot water in a big bowl or we have another steps also
- Place the chocolate bowl inside the hot water but water should be not contact of chocolate
- Every 10 to 15 seconds, stir the chocolate up and down it get properly malt
- Slowly the chocolate will melt or it take same time also for malt
This is a safe and slow process. It takes a little more time
2. Microwave Method
- Put chocolate pieces in a microwave-safe bowl it is very important process for the chocolate
- Microwave for 30 seconds or you can keep till 1 minutes also
- Stir the chocolate it is also important step for the chocolate
- Again, microwave for 30 seconds or you can keep till 1 minutes also
This is fast and works quickly. But be careful not to overheat. chocolate get heart
Adding Coconut Oil or Butter
Once the chocolate is melted, add the following step as here:
- 2 teaspoon Coconut Oil in each bowl or you take in other steel thing also
- Or Regular Butter, if coconut oil is not available if you have you can add
Let it sit for 7-8 minutes. Don’t pour hot chocolate in the molds. It can cause moisture and white patches. it is also important for the chocolate
So let the chocolate cool a bit before the next step.as following :
Pour the Chocolate in Molds
After 7-8 minutes, the chocolate is ready to be poured on the chocolate
- Use a spoon or piping bag to fill the molds or you can use as your need
- Do it slowly and neatly because it important thing in chocolate
- Tap the molds lightly to remove air bubbles for them it good for the test
Now place the filled molds in the fridge for 20 minutes.or you can keep more time also
Or keep them at room temperature for 1 hour. it is important for the chocolate

Take Out the Chocolates
After 20 minutes, the chocolate will be perfectly set or one of the chocolate is come out side
- If making for business, wear gloves before touching it
- Slowly remove the chocolates from the molds and keep it a side
- Don’t rush. Be gentle. and work slowly
Now your chocolates are ready to eat, gift, or sell!
How to Store the Chocolate
These homemade chocolates can be stored:
- Without fridge: Up to 4 day
- In airtight containers
- Away from sunlight and heat

Tips for Perfect Homemade Chocolates
Always keep hands and utensils dry
