In today’s recipe article, we are sharing an easy step-by-step recipe for making Badam Milkshake at home. The recipe is simple, needs basic ingredients, and takes very little time. What is Badam Milkshake?
Badam Milkshake is a sweet, creamy drink made using almonds (badam), milk, sugar, and flavored with saffron (kesar). It is rich in protein and perfect for both kids and adults. It is served cold and is best during hot summer days. and this is the fat less drink that any one can drink this thing
Ingredients You Need
To make this milkshake at home, you need very few ingredients. All are easily available in your kitchen.
- Milk – ½ liter (500 ml) this is the main thing of the badam shake
- Almonds (Badam) – 25 grams (about 30-35 almonds) this is also important for the badam shake
- Sugar – 4 tablespoons (adjust as per your taste) as you need you can add it
- Saffron (Kesar) – a pinch this get better colure to the badam shake
- Chopped Almonds – for garnish
Preparation Time
- Soaking Time for Almonds: 4–5 hours or overnight or you can take more time also
- Preparation Time: 10 minutes or more time will me need
- Cooking Time: 15 minutes or you can use
- Cooling Time: 30–45 minutes (to serve chilled)
Step-by-Step Recipe
Step 1: Soak the Almonds
- Take 30 to 35 almonds (about 25 grams). or you can use for badam also for the badam shake
- Soak them in water for at least 4 to 5 hours or overnight. this is also important for the badam shake
- After soaking, peel the skin from each almond. or you can you any other type almond also
Soaking makes almonds soft and easy to blend. It also improves digestion.
Step 2: Boil the Milk
- Take ½ liter milk in a deep pan. or you can use more milk also to the badam shake
- Save a little milk separately for blending the almonds. this is also important for the badam shake
- Start boiling the remaining milk on medium flame. boil it properly this is also important process of the badam shake
Keep stirring in between to avoid burning the milk.
Step 3: Make Almond Paste
- Add the peeled almonds to a mixer or blender. mix it properly
- Add the saved raw milk to help blend smoothly. this is also use full for the shake
- Blend it into a fine paste. as you need you can add it
Don’t add too much milk in the beginning. Add only enough to make a smooth paste.
Step 4: Add Sugar and Almond Paste
- Once the milk is hot and boiling, add 4 tablespoons of sugar.
- Stir well until sugar melts completely.
- Now add the almond paste to the boiling milk.
- Also add finely chopped almonds for a crunchy texture.
Step 5: Add Saffron (Kesar)
- Add a pinch of saffron to the boiling milk.
- Let it boil for 10 minutes on low to medium flame.
- Stir gently to avoid burning.
Saffron adds beautiful color and a rich flavor to the milkshake.
Step 6: Let It Thicken and Cool
- Boil the milkshake till it slightly thickens.
- Do not overcook. Just let the milk reduce a bit.
- Turn off the flame and let it cool down naturally.
Once cool, it will become more thick and creamy.
Step 7: Serve and Garnish
- Pour the milkshake into glasses.
- Garnish with chopped almonds or a few saffron strands.
- Serve it cold or chilled from the fridge.
Tips for Perfect Badam Milkshake
- Always use fresh almonds for best taste.
- Soak almonds overnight to get the best texture.
- You can use honey or jaggery instead of sugar.
- For more flavor, add a little cardamom powder (elaichi).
- Let the milk cool completely before serving.
- Store in fridge for 1–2 days only.
