Step-by-Step Recipe
Let’s now go through the full recipe method, explained simply.
Step 1: Soak the Rice
Take 1 cup of whole grain basmati rice. or you can take another rice also
Wash it well 2 to 3 times with clean water. this also you can take as you need
Soak it in enough water for at least 30 minutes. you can keep more time also

Step 2: Prepare the Pressure Cooker
Take a pressure cooker. or you can use another cooker also
Add 1 tbsp of ghee and 1 tbsp of oil. as your need you can add
Let it heat slightly on medium flame. this is also important

- 1 small piece of cinnamon you have then you can add it in the tomato rice
- 2 to 3 cloves this is also important for the tomato rice
- 2 cardamom pods as your need you can add

Step 3: Add the Onions
Add 2 sliced onions to the cooker. or you can add more also in the tomato rice

Step 5: Add Tomatoes and Spices
Next, add:
- 4 medium-sized chopped tomatoes this is the main sour of the tomato rice
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder this is better for the colure of the tomato
- 1 tsp salt (adjust later if needed) as you need in tomato rice you can add it in
- 3 tsp red chili powder this is use full for the test of the tomato rice
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
Mix everything well.
Let this tomato masala cook for 2 to 3 minutes till it becomes soft and mushy. or you can keep more time also
Step 6: Add the Rice
Now drain the soaked rice and add it to the cooker. but add it properly to the cooker
Mix it gently with the masala.to the tomato rice
Add a handful of chopped coriander leaves.

Now pour 1.5 cups of water into the cooker. that you can add as you need

Step 8: Pressure Cook
Close the lid of the pressure cooker. and do following thing

After 1 whistle, turn off the flame.
Let the pressure release naturally.
Step 9: Ready to Serve
Once the pressure is gone, open the lid.
